Kate Winslet Escapes As Richard Bransons House Burns Down

Kate Winslet and 20 other people escaped from a epic fire on Richard Branson’’s private Island, after lightening struck the house and burned it down. This is not a movie headline, but it was probably the biggest adrenaline rush of Kate’s life. Especially since she helped save Richard’s 90 year old mother! Yes, it is true! Branson wrote on his blog, “Many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year mum out of the main house to safety. She was wondering when a Director was going to shout CUT!” The Caribbean Island was struck by a tropical storm, which brought heavy rain and winds up to 90 mph. All the guests escaped unharmed, including Richard’s daughter, Holly and Kate, her boyfriend and her children, Mia and Joe. Branson said he does plan to rebuild the 74-acre Necker Island, in the British Virgin Islands, “It’s very much the Dunkirk Spirit here. We want to rebuild the house as soon as we can.
